I’m taken back to when the pool was like an ocean.
The speaker sang it’s song as I floated friendly waves.
I’m taken back to when my micronautic epics kept me in my room, and occupied my urges.
They wore a collar like a wing on the side of an airplane.
Their joy reflected in the golden chains and glittery globes.
The smell of English Leather mixed with sex on the dance floor.
Their rolling boats would take them where they wanted to go.
I’m taken back to when their parties went forever.
The men would strike a match, and burn the vodka from the water.
I’m taken back to when a man came from a curtain, and everybody laughed as the day would come to pass.
Little plastic swords were always set on the table for doing battle with the casual cuisine of the day.
I recall a comfort that I’m craving now.
I miss it madly.
I remember kindness in that time.
I know I’m seeing scenes selected for my thrill, but I get to choose the scenes I save.
